Online Cheat Sites

This may not be great stuff to online course designers but it certainly is to students. Here are some popular online cheat sites. Top Ten Tips for Technology Integration
I really think this web site is a great resource for any educator or trainer wanting to implement technology in their teachings. I really like the quick and easy “Top Ten Tips for Painless Integration”.
They are easy to use and can really start you off in the right direction. There is a lot more to it, but I like the simplicity to it. Again it’s a great place to begin.

Common Craft
http://www.commoncraft.com/
After watching the video Dr. Nicholson posted for Wikis, I investigated this site a little more and found it to be great for people who are not the most versed in tech-jargon. The tutorials on this site are easy, fun and presented in a way that allows for all types of learners (and ability levels) to take something away. Anyone and everyone should visit this page to get started on some of the new (and old) technology out there.

Technophobia...
As trainers, and educators who are implementing technology into the classrom, I think it's important to understand technophobia a bit better. Below is an interesting site on technophobia, how to spot it and how to adapt to those within organizations who suffer from it. Student Affairs Online - "Technophobia is Conquerable!"

Plugged In
A friend of mine works at a Pittsburgh News Station and she does a beat called Plugged In, which can be viewed at YouTube, along with on the Pittsburgh News Station website. She's a technology buff who enjoys reporting and blogging about the latest Web sites, new media and tech gadgets. I thought this was "great stuff" because her site is updated daily with new gadgets and great information regarding technology. Here is her website which gives you all of her podcasts about technology.

The following link is to a very interesting site the displays some of the latest gizmos and gadgets. Some of the devices are so amazing it is hard to believe they will actually be made available to the public. One very interesting device featured on the site was the i60 Robotic Surgical Instrument.

This site is an EXCELLENT resource for a variety of tutorials. There are many topics to choose from:
- CSS - Flash
- HTML - Illustrator
- JavaScript - Photoshop
- PHP - Ruby
- Ruby on Rails - 3ds Max
Each topic is further broken down into sections, and each section has multiple sources you can view.
Tutorials are easy to understand, with lots of examples, narration, animation, etc.
The site even comes with an RSS feed to hook the website, or just one topic, up with your Blog.
This is a great resource for anyone wanting to learn more about the above topics, or to be used as a supplement in class!
